Upload guide: what photo works best
Best photo in one line: a close-up, front-facing photo of you alone, with your face large in the frame and your eyes looking straight at the camera.
- Pose and framing: Use a head-and-shoulders or upper-body close-up, like a close selfie. Your face should fill the upper part of the frame. Do not use a standing full-body photo or a distant photo — this template is shot as a first-person close-up, so a distant body gives the model almost no face to work with.
- Eyes: Keep your eyes open and looking at the camera, with no sunglasses and no hair falling over your eyes. The whole scene is built around eye contact with the camera.
- Mouth: Keep your mouth area clear, with no mask, hand, or phone covering your lips. The action is centred on your mouth, so the model needs a clear mouth shape to animate.
- One person only: Upload only yourself, with no second person and no group photo in the frame.
- Outfit: Wear the outfit you want to see in the result. This template keeps your own outfit from your photo, so a top or bikini you like will carry over — and a bulky jacket or covered shoulders will too, so choose accordingly.
- Light and sharpness: Use a recent, high-resolution photo with bright, even light on your face and sharp focus. Do not upload a screenshot with black bars or app buttons, a photo of a screen, or a heavily filtered photo that changes your face shape.
- Avoid: standing full-body shots, back views, side-profile-only photos, faces small in the frame, dark or blurry photos, and group selfies.
